DEF LEPPARD: New 'Best Of' Collection Due In October

According to HMV Japan, a new DEF LEPPARD "greatest hits" album, is scheduled to be released on October 8. Titled "Best Of Special Edition", the collection will be released as a double CD. No further information is currently available.

As previously reported, DEF LEPPARD's breakthrough 1983 album, "Pyromania", was recently certified "diamond" by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) for shipments in excess of 10 million copies. Produced by Robert John "Mutt" Lange, "Pyromania" benefited greatly from MTV's relentless airing of the album's first two singles, "Photograph" and "Rock of Ages". The U.K. group continues to record and tour, their most recent release being 2002's "X" (Universal).
